The Yuryuzan River valley from the Yangantau Hill to the mouth of the Air River has a north-westerly flow, bends around the Karatau Ridge (Southern Urals) from the north, crosses the southwest of the Yuryuzan-Ai Plain and approaches the extreme southeastern part of the Ufa Plateau (Southern Fore-Urals). The Karatau Ridge is composed of Riphean, Devonian and Carboniferous rocks, the flat territory is composed of Lower Permian rocks. Several key sections of Lower Permian deposits are distinguished there: in the Akhunovo section and in numerous roadside quarries on the right and left banks of the Yuryuzan River, rocks of the Yangantau Suite of the Lower Artinskian substage have been exposed; in the quarries near the villages of 2nd Idelbaevo and Makhmutovo, rocks of the Upper Artinskian substage have been exposed; The Mechetlino section is an internationally recognized site with deposits of the Artinskian and Kungurian Stages, in which the lower boundary of the Kungurian has been well studied. There are numerous springs on the territory, the most famous are the Kuselyarovskiye hydrogen sulphide mineral springs. The Yuryuzan River has 12 tributaries in this part of the valley. The identification and systematization of natural objects will help in teaching local history and geography in schools, will help the travelers in learning about new territories and will contribute to the development of regional regional tourism in our country.
