Geologicheskii Vestnik

The role of V.A. Maslov in the study of the stratigraphy of the Magnitogorsk megazone of the Southern Urals is described. His personal qualities that allowed him to achieve outstanding results are described. His most important practical achievements in the dating of volcanogenic and sedimentary stratones, used to compile State Geological Maps, are listed. The possibility of using paleontological data for geodynamic constructions is shown.
