Stratigraphy is a branch of geological knowledge that addresses questions of when, what time period, and the sequence of events in Earth science. Viktor Alekseevich Maslov dedicated his life to studying the stratigraphy of Paleozoic strata, primarily Devonian strata. Devonian volcanic strata, containing huge reserves of volcanogenic massive sulfide complexes, are one of the sources that feed our country's industry. Successful ore exploration is impossible without stratigraphy. Defining and substantiating the stratigraphic levels of pyrite mineralization in the Southern Urals is a task to which Viktor Alekseevich Maslov dedicated his life
