The Yuryuzan-Ai plain is located in the northeast of the Southern Fore-Urals. The modern relief of the plain was formed during the Pliocene-Quaternary period under the influence of the newest tectonic movements and denudation-accumulative processes. The plain has a complex hilly-rugged and ridge-wavy relief type with absolute marks from 182 to 500 m. Three surfaces of flattening are distinguished within the Yuryuzan-Ai plain, confined to hypsometric levels of 420–538 m, 300–400 m, 250–280 m. The main large rivers on the territory of the plain are the rivers Yuryuzan and Ai, belonging to the Kama-Belaya basin. The territory is located in the forest-steppe natural zone. The peculiarities of the geological structure of the territory led to the formation of specific forms of relief and a variety of landscapes, therefore, state nature reserves and nature monuments are decreed on the territory of the plain.
