Summary:

A lithological-paleoecological description of the Lower Devonian sediments of the Zilair synclinorium western slope of the South Urals is given. Four lithotypes are established in the Mindigulovsky section. The biogenic component of the section is characterized and a trophic structure, consisting of three levels, is revealed. The sediments were formed in the calm-water photic zone of the deep-water sublittoral.
