Geologicheskii Vestnik

Reconnaissance sampling and study of carbonate rock samples from the outcrop of the Upper Riphean section of the Katav Formation near the basin of the Bolshoy and Maly Kazamash rivers. An average paleomagnetic direction was obtained for the section, which differs in declination from the previously published average paleomagnetic directions of the Katav Formation in the Southern Urals. In addition, a large number of magnetic field inversions were recorded in this section. The paper discusses the prospects for further study of the section, the necessity of which is determined by the issues of regional geology and the study of the magnetic field of the Late Precambrian
