At the South Urals massive sulfide deposits, ore diagenites are products of diagenetic transformation of sulfide turbidites have almost completely lost their clastic appearance due to the replacement of hydrothermal pyrite and sphalerite ore clasts by chalcopyrite. The LA-ICP-MS method was used to determine concentrations of chemical elements in diagenetic chalcopyrite for various ore-formation types of massive sulfide deposits in the Southern Urals, among which (according to [Seravkin, 2010]) are distinguished: Atlantic (Dergamysh); 3) Ural with three subtypes (U1 – Yubileynoe, U2 – Yaman-Kasy, U3 – Molodezhnoe); 4) Baimak (Aleksandrinskoe, Balta-Tau). It has been established that in this ore-formation series of massive sulfide deposits, the contents of Se, Co, Sn decrease in diagenetic chalcopyrite, while the contents of As, Ba, Ag increase. It has been shown that the chalcopyrite of ore diagenites of Ural-type deposits is characterized by the maximum median contents of Te, Bi, Au and sometimes Sn. At the same time, the chalcopyrite of ore diagenites formed by the products of the destruction of black smokers (Dergamysh and Molodezhnoye deposits) turns out to be the most diverse in accessory minerals and rich in trace elements.
